At Spotdly, we just love Holidays. That’s why we were thrilled to embark on a journey to craft a magical and engaging narrative for the Holiday commercial of Flor de Caña, a globally awarded rum brand.

Flor de Caña approached us with a vision: they wanted to showcase not just their premium rum but a story that resonated with the warmth of family reunions during Holidays. Our challenge was to weave together the themes of mixology and family values, all while upholding the sophisticated brand look and feel.
conceptualization and creative process
The adventure begins with Lucia’s discovering a mysterious recipe among her Christmas decorations, sparking her journey to craft the perfect cocktail. Our storytelling approach shows her experimenting in the kitchen, with each trial bringing her closer to success. Finally, as her friends gather, she triumphs, revealing her cocktail mastery.
This tale takes an emotional turn when we learn the recipe is from her father, symbolized by a photo, hinting at their once-distant relationship. The climax arrives with her father's unexpected entrance, and then Lucia proudly presents her creation, a symbol of their rekindled bond and shared history.
storyboard and art direction
In response to the brief, we crafted a detailed storyboard portraying Lucia's journey to create a unique cocktail. Our art direction was meticulously aligned with Flor de Caña's brand values, emphasizing sustainability and elegance and showcasing our ability to create visually captivating experiences.
bringing the vision to life
Our production team captured the essence of the holiday spirit through our lenses, creating multiple commercial versions tailored to different media platforms. A key aspect was producing the commercial in Spanish and English, catering to a diverse audience, and highlighting our expertise in global campaign execution.

The final reveal of the commercial celebrated festive spirit and familial traditions, enhancing the brand's image and affirming the power of engaging storytelling in advertising. This project reinforced our belief in the power of understanding a client's vision and articulating it into a captivating, globally relevant story.
